I have a stick of 2" .250 DOM I was going to use for upper and lower links, but after searching PBB sounds like .500 wall is all the rage.

before I buy 1.5" .250 and waste a weekend sleeving the links, anyone think 2" .250 is enough?

400+ HP and 4500+ LB rig?

for the uppers it would be fine, the lowers they would work and hold up for a while but i would go bigger now, unless you just sleeve the bottom, this way you could buy a half stick of 1.5 .250 wall tube, cut some cost down, jason.

2" .250 wall is what I used on all of my lowers and my uppers as well, but only because I didn't feel like buying smaller tubing for the uppers. I'm quite a bit lighter than your rig, but it's been through hell and back. A lot of rocks have met them. I wouldn't worry about it.

Also keep in mind that a 2" .250 is going to be stronger in comparison to 1.75" .250 wall per length.

Length plays a huge part in this as well. What is your target length for the control arms? I would say anything up to about 36" and you should be fine... if you are longer than that for some crazy reason, I would go with a thicker wall for peace of mind.

Keep in mind too, that 1.5" will not slide inside 2" .250. (it's a press fit, not what you likely want to deal with....)

I run 1.75" .375 lowers and have not bent one yet. Braden runs similar links, and has bent one. Both of us have much lighter rigs, most likely with less power. (although we may drive harder.... :D )

I'd go with something heavier for your lowers. For the uppers, 2" .250 is WAY overkill. (not necessarily a bad thing)

I haven't bent a 1.75 x .250 yet. My rig is heavy with decent power 350 hp. If ya decide to go another route I know a guy that would buy that stick ya have.

I am going to go bigger, so if he is interested in that other stick, PM me.
