head through town, you will leave the city limits.. road wraps around by a park, directly after the park is a road on your right that drops through the river. Take that road and follow it around as it veers right and heads up. Once you get to the first mines there is a fork, the right fork is muddy, the left fork is narrow, take your pick. Once you get on top there are a few roads that go here and there. Look at a map and the roads and you can tell which roads go to the old Mercur site and down sunshine canyon. The road that heads down silverado canyon is the one we took out, not too hairy, just very technical, lots of deep ruts from water. If you fear the pinstripes, do not take this canyon out.

west jordan,
I was up there for the deer hunt. We saw two awsome bull elk up on the ridges. I had never been up there before. It is a beautiful area. I really liked seeing the valley south of lion hill with all the live pine trees. the whole valley was green, not like up in the uintas with all the bark beatle kill. Awsome area, sorry I didn't make it but Kent said it was a lot of fun.
