Since there are quite a few XJ owners that frequent this site, I thought I'd go ahead and share this.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Members of the North American XJ Association, more commonly known as www.NAXJA.org have recently formed the NAXJA Intermountain Chapter.

What is NAXJA, you ask?

NAXJA is a club for XJ/MJ owners that was founded in 1999. Charter Members met and became friends over the Internet while discussing XJ technical issues. The idea was planted to have an annual four wheeling event so we could actually meet the friends we had made online and hit the trails together. NAXJA held it's first major event, Forum Fest '99 in the San Juan's of Colorado and has evolved into a fully functioning, continent-wide, XJ Club as well as the best source for XJ related Tech on the Web. We host regular XJ/MJ specific events at locations such as Tellico, Moab, Rubicon, Attica, Paragon as well as other less famous four-wheeling destinations. NAXJA hosted the XJ 20th Anniversary Celebration in Moab '03, with over 150 vehicles in attendance.

We currently have nearly 500 active members in the US, Canada, Germany, Australia and the Virgin Islands and as an organization we are members of United Four Wheel Drive Associations and Tread Lightly!, proud supporters of the Blue Ribbon Coalition and USA-ALL.

The current NAXJA Intermountain Chapter boundaries include Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, E. Nevada, New Mexico and Arizona. We have a large number of NAXJA members here on the Wasatch Front, with our numbers increasing daily. We will be actively involved in land use issues, OHV trail use education, and community events.

Thanks to all who have shown their support thus far, and plan on getting involved with upcoming events. We're already planning a trip to Moab on April 23-24th, 2004.

Our first official chapter meeting will be held on Jan 17th in the SLC area and we hope to have a good turnout. Tell your XJ buddies (non-NAXJA members welcome! ) to schedule this in, and come prepared with ideas and help plan events for the near future. Stay tuned here http://www.naxja.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=72 for exact time and location.
Hope to see you there.
