So we are looking for some new Jeepin locations around the SLC area (50 Mile Radius). Preference is something challenging (TJ's, 35's, lockers F&R). The frequented trails are the B in Bountiful, used to be corner canyon, AF canyon (Forest Lake, Mineral Basin, Mary Ellen's Gulch [if that's what the trail is two camp grounds east of the Forest Lake trailhead on the left]), and occasionally out to Little Moab/Rattlesnake/Constrictor. What else is there up AF canyon that is more than just a dirt road? We haven't gone out exploring any of the spur trails due to a run in with a rogue forest service lady who accused us of mudding up at Pittsburg Lake (which we don't even know where it is) even though all we did was go into the rock garden and back out and didn't even have any mud on our Jeeps. She slapped my brother with a couple of pretty hefty tickets which he fought and won.

Are there any other places to go w/out having to drive too much further? What about a 100 mile radius?
Anything out in Tooele?

Of course the trails need to be legal and we won't misrepresent the U4 stickers that we all have on our Jeeps.

We are looking to go out early Saturday morning if anybody wants to go and will show us some new trails.

You about nailed all of the local trails... sadly we live amonst urban forests that have chosen to cater predominately to non motorized recreation with the exception of AF Canyon. There are hundreds of trails in Utah outside of your radius criteria, but its fairly slim pickings under an hour from SLC.

Well, there are more trails at 5MP than just rattlesnake and constrictor. There are some good ones on the south side of the highway. There's lots to explore and challenge yourself out there. In the Lakeside mountains (near the GSL), there is vindicator canyon, and most of those canyons out there have old mining roads going up them. Kurt pretty much nailed it though, unless you wanna get out farther, there isn't much in SL county.

The Delta area is within the 100 miles (give or take a little) and as mentioned Logan is well with in the 100 miles.

if you're talking chain saw and cat canyon, it's over 200 from SL :-\ (closer to the NV border)

Many trails up Mantua area. I don't know about the ratings/dificulty in a 4x4 as I am more familiar with them from the seat of a motorcycle.
