Lock-Right Problems in 1985 4Runner

I bought a 1985 4Runner about 2 or 3 months ago with a Lock-Right locker in the rear axle, and it was working fine up until last week. I took the truck through Rattlesnake (5 mile pass) last monday, and I didn't wheel it hard or anything. When I got back onto the street, the locker started to pop really loud anytime I went up a hill or even just constantly pushed on the gas... It pops every 3 or 4 seconds when on the freeway. It still acts "normal" when cornerning, but I can't figure out why it would be engaging when giving it some gas. Another quick note: When I'm giong straight, only the left tire engages and disengages... Anybody know what could be going on? PSI is the same on both tires...

Yeah I'll open it up and take a look. And yes, it disengages with a loud clunk and then re-engages right away when going straight and giving it gas (It disengages more often when going up hill.... whenever there's a lot of torque on the rear diff)

a bent axle housing will give you a lot of grief too. If you bashed that housing really good or jumped it on a whoop it will throw that locker into disarray.
