Well since the wife finally popped a few weeks ago, she has been itching to get out. She is from Montana and hasn't seen a lot of the country around here, she wanted to take the Alpine Loop up AF Canyon, fun on a bike, but kinda boring in a Jeep, So I mentioned there was a dirt road that runs up past Mineral Basin, back around to Cascade Springs, then one down to Heber. She said ok.

So we hit the mouth of AF canyon about 1:30 and hit the road up to Pole Line Pass, then back south to Cascade Springs. I forgot how beautiful it is up there, especially this year with all the water. Took the kids for a stroll around Cascade Springs chasin ducks and fish. Then headed down to Heber to stop at Granny's Drive in for an Ol' Fashion greasy burger, some awesome Onion Rings, and a Browny Bit Malt. All in all, a great way to spend an afternoon with the family.

And you'll have to forgive me, I forgot to charge the batteries in the camera, so all we had was mine and my wifes phones, and mine takes really bad pics.

We were lucky enough to see a bull Moose just below Deer Creek Campground about Cascade Springs.

Had a cold and sticky form Granny's just the other day....good stuff:)
I am really surprised at how many Deer, Elk and Moose we are seeing down low this year. We had a Moose wipe out two cars on 40 a week or so ago. They are normally up much higher by this time of year.
There is a resturant between Heber and Midway called "Breadsticks". They have a nice place and serve good food too if you are looking for a nice place to eat the next time your up this way.
