I'm going to be going on a pretty massive road trip in a week and one of the places I'm going to hit up is Moab, UT. I was hoping I could get some help from people who are familiar with the area and the trails, so I decided to come here.
First things first, I drive a 2007 Tahoe Z71 4x4 with BF Goodrich All-Terrains. I have a good amount of experience going off road in this vehicle, however it is mostly in the mud/clay around the Red River on the TX/OK border. This is the vehicle that I will be taking on trail.
I am looking for a trail that is as scenic as possible but as easy as possible (trail rating of around 2). The trail needs to be short enough to do in a half day, and smooth enough not to damage the vehicle. The research I have done makes me think that Chicken Corners would be a good match for me.
As I said, I'm just here looking for some professional assistance from people who have been in and around the area before. Unfortunately, I'm 23 years old, so renting a Rubicon is out of the question. I have considered taking some of the several tours offered, but that is a last resort.
I appreciate any advice you guys have for me, thank you!
