Yes Greg, I think that is the road he is wanting to check out. It would be a shame if Poison Springs got closed - it's a major access to a lot of excellent country. Edit - I looked at the RMP maps you attached a link for - it appears the Poison Spring route is shown on there. The Salt Wash is not, but the access going in to the wash on each end is shown.

Marty - yeah I'm adding lights too. You should check out the low buck HID Checker sells with built in ballast. About $100 a pair and I hear good things. The one's I'm adding are 130W - imagine the current those will suck!

Did you notice the area in the RMP map called MEXICAN SPOTTED OWL CRITICAL HABITAT? It takes in about half of the P.S.C. trail. So just how CRITICAL is their habitat in regards to closure?
