Looking to down size my rig..

Location
Logan, UT
Hey all, so I have some financial obligations that need taken care of and I am thinking i am going to have to downsize my truck and make some money off the parts I am selling. My signature has a break down of what I have done t my truck. I need to scrape up about 1000 bucks or so, I was thinking I could sale 35's (bfg mud terrains with about 85% tread mounted on newer american racing out law 2 wheels) and sell my front and maybe rear Alcan springs. What do you guys think? after selling those two things i would pick up a set of cheap 33s ( i wont be driving it for a few months) and some stock leafs. I hate to do it, but this is my most feasible option. What would you guys do?

that sucks man. But we have to do what we have to do. It's like I tell my wife. Think of my jeep as a savings account.. Lok

Yeah, its more of an investment than a hobby, take my situation for example, I could use the extra cash so I am hoping I will be able to part out my rig s bit, make some cash and still have a capable wheelin machine .

Uh, not many folks make ANY kind of a return. Bad investment in most cases. You're lucky if you get $.50 on the dollar on a rig

I am not expecting to get anything close to what I paid originally , but are you saying I couldnt turn around and sell my rims and tires for 600$? And im sure with the right buyer I could get 400 out of my Alcans. Im not looking to make a fortune, or even make back what I have into it, I just need to pay some stuff off. And the good times and memories I have is worth the money Ill never make back

How much are the "new" 33's and springs going to impact your bottom line? And then there's the replacement cost down the line too... which may or may not figure in, if you were going to replace your 35's w/something else anyway... Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, but...

well considering I wont be driving it for a while the "new" 33s just have to hold air, so I am sure I will pick those up for fairly cheap, and the springs will probably cost me around 30 bucks a pair at pick n pull. I know its gonna cost me more in the long run, but heck i was plannin on running 36s in the future anyways

Indeed it is. I just graduated from high school 2 weeks ago, so I am still making the transition into working full time, luckily I found a job already. So hopefully I can get this stuff sold and my fees paid off n whatnot. I have been wanting to lower my truck a bit anyways so this gives me the chance to do just that.
