Lovely afternoon

So I was on my way back to the office, (in my truck) heard a metalic ding ring ding sort of noise, figured I drove over something....
Then I went to stop and there was no power brakes and no power steering!!

Strong arm it into the nearest parking lot, pop the hood, all looks fine, but the belt is loose....Get looking at the passanger side of the motor and the idler pulley nearest the tensioner is GONE, but the bearing cage is there, with no bearings
Found the pulley sitting on the frame....A couple phone calls and $80 later I have the part and a ride back to work....got to go fix it later....

At least Ford didn't make me buy the whole bracket like jeep did.

Found it at NAPA for $25....so I am taking the $80 back to LHM!!

Those are pretty common weak points. I had to replace the one on my 97 and my 01.

It's getting to the point I don't even waste my time at Autozone. 13th South 7th West NAPA has everything you'd EVER need (unless it's an engine management sensor and then you head to the dealer).
