I so disagree with RockMonkey on ARBs. I had them in 30s, 44s and 60s and LOVE them. The only problems I've had was getting metal chunks in them from low oil, and fuse blew on the actuator one time. For the amount I've used and abused them, they've been completely reliable and great. With that said, I wil have Detroits front and back on the new buggy.

Be careful making blanket statements....There are a few here that will disagree with you, and can back it up.

Like..... YOU.

All of mine were professionally installed too, by people who knew what they were doing. Well, one of them was installed by Advanced 4WD... :ugh:

I have a Detroit in my D70 rear and a Lockright in my front D60. They both work great. I used to run Detroits front and rear in my stock Toyota axles before I went to the 1-tons...I broke a couple of birfields and ended up destroying my front Detroit. If you're concerned at all about breaking an axle shaft, u-joint, etc. in the front then I would recommend a lunchbox locker over a detroit just based on my past experience. Wayne gave me a screaming deal on mine, after a year it is still working great and holding up fine to 42's.
