But yeah, no charging handle at the rear, like regular AR's. This is the HK-style, with kind of a slicker handle on it, in my opinion.
The one I was looking for was apparently made by a guy in his basement machine shop, guy I know in PA had one, and they are beautiful, but unavailable. So I think that one there will probably do for me.
Why? Because I don't like "forward assist". To me, that means that they f'ed up the design, if that's necessary. Nor do I particularly care for the ergonomics of the stock charging handle. This one lets you get it on without punching yourself in the face, should you want to get all tactical on a motherf**ker and stay on target.
Plus, it's kind of HK-ish, and I totally dig that to the max.

So, Stag lower is on order (5 weeks out to get it though ) and I've ordered some mags. Now, re-reading this thread, what are good brands on part's kit's for the lower? Someone had mentioned some are good, some suck. Tell me the sucky ones so I can avoid them.

So just curious what are the stripped lowers going for now?
I've heard good things about Del-ton and JT distributing. There is Pete on Pirate (AlohaRover (I think), check the outdoors section) that does part kits I think his web site is something like evil-black-rifles.com

Most of the one's I found online were pretty pricey. Del-ton has a stripped for 105 (I paid 115 for mine, plus a background check.) Prices have gone up a bit since I last looked. I think that the Del-Ton used to be 85 bucks?
Screw all that AR upper crap...my pennies are being saved for one of these

I shot one 2 weeks ago in a 5.56 and it was the finest black rifle I had ever laid my hands on. I know you folks like to build it yourself but Robinson Arms builds quite possibly the finest weapon available to the civilian populace for a great price.

When I used to own guns in the 90s (can you believe it), I came this>< close to buying one of these. Got to shoot one side by side to an H-barrel 15 and loved it.
