Granted I am a skeptic but knowing no one involved personally, and just looking at things as they are reported...
I would say someone broke their stuff,
had no way to pay to fix it,
still had a loan on it,
took what they wanted, (tires, stereo, etc)
then lit it up to have the insurance pay for it
and is now trying way too hard to say "hey man, I had nothing to do with it, I am even looking for the bad guys that really did it."

The area where the jeep was at is just below the Green Valley Spa in Saint George .There are several draws that go up the face of the hill and yes there are rocks like this down here!!
