Is there anything wrong with leaving manual hubs locked. Especially in the winter, so I can put it in 4-wheel drive with out getting out in the cold.

I know it will wear on the hubs and axles, but a full float rear is locked all the time and they hold up fine.

It seems easier to me.

What do you think?

Make sure your front driveshaft is good also, it will be turning, and if it has some slop in it, it will vibrate and toast bearings.

well, all rears (unless they have hubs) are locked in all the time not jsut ff...to answer your question, no it wont hurt anything...I have noticed a tad worse gas mileage, kinda binds just a hair when I turn very sharp (cranked all the way to the locks), and it is a tiny bit noisier(sp?)...other than that like you said, a little more wear cause everything is turning all the time but no harm should be done...
