So I put a new set of Maxxis Bighorns on the quads and went up to Mirror Lake Hwy last weekend.. Nice!!!

We played right next to all the snowmobiles. Sweet tires and wheels! It was a cool 17 degrees...

I've been thinking about changing over to those for my next tires..... I'd go with more rubber and less wheel though.

I run the interco swamp lites on my brute force and I love em...they are lighter than most tires on the market and they just keep going. I thought about the bighorns but I paid less than 50$ a tire on a one time deal so I couldn't pass that up!

 I almost picked up a set of them last week, but I found a set of 26" 589's on EBAY for $276 for all 4 brand new.

You'll like the 589s.... don't stick your head out to watch the tire though... they like to toss rocks for the first few hundred miles.... not as bad as the 489 m/t or whatever they call them.

I have those on the Kodiak, good tire. These Maxxis are radials so I'm interested to see ho they ride on the rocks.

... radials...

That's why I've hesitated, every radial I've been around won't cut the mustard.... it's hard to walk away from Rawhidegrips.... I've got 4k miles on my current set :ugh:

A friend of mine bought some Bighorns about a year ago.... I've yet to go riding with him to see how they do though.

Agreed, I have read some good reviews on these tires. Even the guy at Rocky Mountain ATV said they were the best tire they sell. He had several people commenting on the durability and ride. The wheel have a life time guarantee against bending or breaking. I'll be heading down to Moab in the next few months, we will see how they do on the slick rock.
