Mineral Basin on 8/10

A few of us are going to run Mineral Basin on Sunday 8/10 and maybe Forrest Lake if there is time. We are meeting at the Tibble Fork parking lot at 11am if anyone else wants to go. Just a reminder, it is 6.00 now to get into the canyon.

They rate the trail a 3. Depending on how big of tires your rig has it becomes easier or harder to get through. When I did the trail in June the rock garden had no easy route at the end any more and you had to go over the boulders but some of them may have been moved or rocks stacked because of all the traffic it gets. We took a YJ with 3" lift and 31" tires and the rest stock through it and it made it just fine.

I will have to check if my brother got any pics because I don't have a camera, but for the report my fuel pump died when I shut the Jeep off about 200 yards from the end of the trail. Luckily I was able to get it started again after lunch and it got me home. I was not looking forward to being towed through the rock garden.
