how much more difficult is mineral basin compared to forest lake?
cheapzuk said:were is forest lake?
ewander said:Yeah, mmm-kay, mineral basin is not much harder than forest lake. Mineral basin is probably a 3-3+, while Forest Lake is about a 3. Both trails are doable with a stock 4x4 with decent clearance and a watchful eye. Okay, saying that I wouldn't take a stock ford explorer up there. basically anything with 31" tires should be able. What are you thinking about driving up there?
In fact last week my 89 year old grandma drove both trails......I just made that up.
andy d said:i will be taking up the old Rover. we went up to forest lake on saturday with no trouble, but i've heard that the rock garden can cause problems. thanks for the input, i think i will check it out next time i am up there.
Cody said:hmm, I dont' know, I think Subaru could do Forest Lake just fine.

andy d said:i am trying for saturday, what do you think? em wants to have a yard sale and i don't want to be anywhere near it. what is your schedule like? perhaps over the 24 weekend. you can bring the relatives, but if we are going to start at 10, then you have to tell them 8.
do you have a weekend off for moab yet?
