Who offered? That locker came up missing! Bastages!

A fellow Senior student... He wasn't involved, but it was "given" to him by a freind that was on one of the Mini-Baja teams... Not sure Dr. Drake ever found out who...

Interesting....not too many bends, huh?

6 total... The rules and specs we have to meet make bends a PITA... they don't allow bends over X degrees in certain chassis parts, and any deformation of tube (we are using .090 & .065) will result in DQ.

Wow, how many engineering students (current and former) are on this board. Hearing all the deadline, hell week, Dr. Drake and Alpha 1 is like a walk down memory lane.

I didnt choose Baja, but I did Formula in 1999. What has been offered before is so true; you have to be done early. We finished the car with plenty of time to spare and got to test it on a dyno we built and in the parking lot. It made a huge difference, we took 24th overall (or something close)

Did I miss what you are using for shocks? I have some wholesale access to the smaller coil over and air over shocks that you would find on bikes. Let me know if you're interested. I know they've used the small ones before.....

So you're the reason I chose Formula! I saw that car the first time I went into MEB in the spring of 2000 and had Dr. VanMoorhem sign me up. I'm pretty sure I didn't know it would take this long or be this hard.

Our team had plenty of resources to be a lot further than we are now. But we're ahead of last year's game by a long ways. If I had it do do over, I'd join Kurt. Team captain is an overrated title.

It would be fun to find out how many current and former engineering students are here. You should work on that. I don't know anyone by their screen name.

Your mini looks pretty good! I stopped by yesterday on the way to class and saw your black car with the coil-overs and the red car inside with the fox 2.0's. Both look awesome and like you'll be ready to go. I really wanna make one with an 800 sled engine and some paddle tires!

You could have just stripped the body off a samurai. J/K and to be totally serious that is awesome. Looks like a very neat machine.

Sami axles would nearly meet the width requirements... :D, but even a Sami has more power than they let us have (10hp :( ).

More pics
Ours is the silver (unpainted one). Both still need a couple more parts for the steering and transmission. :D

Those look way fun to drive! I am afraid I need more power than a B&S can give :) I'll stick with my LT1!

Do ya think they would notice a really small bottle of NOS?
Great work and good luck!
