I was thinking of putting the missing link system from Rocky roads on my sami but I've heard that there not that good for on the trail but only good to score good on the ramp. I've also heard the same about the revolver shackles but i'd never go with thoughs they look like they'ed break easy. just wondered what you guy's think I guess rocky roads run the missing link on glenn wakfields zukinni sami.

thanks

they are a total gimmick. they don't offer any real trail ability upgrades...they just make the rear of my zuk hop more. Skip them and spend your money on something more functional, I speak from over a years worth of personal experience...SKIP THEM!!

I though they were kind of crappy my self I figure I can get as much flexs as i want with Yj springs or moving the rear spring to the front you know what I mean. thanks spenc.

Samizook on here runs them in the front and they seem to perform great on the trail. Haven't seen them on the rear of a rig yet. I don't think I'd run them on the rear.

the rear is where I run them, they are a complete waste of time because they make things really loose.

the flex is not worth the goofy movement...

same thing. both almost completely worthless and nothing more than a gimmick. they offer real flex but not real performance.

umm thanks I guess.....:D

for some suspension systems on a zuk, you have to have them to make springs fit with ease. I have to have them to make my cj leafs fit and sami probably has to have them for the YJ setup. I would just avoid them if you don't have to have them in the rear!!

there comes a point in life when you realize that you don't need all that flex.....when you get lockers!!

you need the friction on your drooping tire to close your "DIFF LEAK" when unlocked. When you are locked you just give it the gas and nothing else matters....

traction is what you want, and missing links rob you of that traction. If there is no weight on the tire, there is no traction.

Friction = a constant baised on the two surfaces (i.e. rubber and rock) multiplyed by the force acting at a right angle from the two surfaces.

according to this, in theory, the heavyer the rig, the more traction, untill it gets to a high angle and your weight overcomes the friction produced by the small amount of force perpendicular to the rocks.

If there is no tire on the ground, how much traction do you get? I would think you'd get more, even with a small amount of tire pressure. (at least there's something touching the rock)
