Haven't checked on this for a while.
Does anybody know in Eddie Mcstiffs supports the offroad industry.
The reason I ask is a while back I remember reading that they were on a black list of sorts from the 4 wheel community.

the franchise was up for sale last time I was down there in january...I wonder if someone bought it. I knew they stopped brewing pending a sale.

That place is perpetually for sale. But the land doesn't go with the deal. So even if the new operator was pro-motorized access, some money would still go back to the SUWA-lovin' folks.

I communicated with McStiff's several times a couple years ago when the anti 4 wheel business list and Moab Blacklist thing came about and I can't say I was very impressed with Eddie nor his wife's responses (I believe it was his wife who was writing me).

I assured him that I would do everything I could to refer my contacts within the 4wd community elsewhere unless they chose to support keeping our trails open and he really didn't seem to care.

His response firmly stated his support for the SUWA in other words. It was loosely worded saying they wanted open access for all or some BS, but it cemented their standpoint. Under no circumstances did they regret being on the list that was published by the SUWA a couple years ago; they wanted to be on there.

Our group has switched over to the Moab Brewery instead. They have a little Jeep inside so I figure they're not actively trying to close our trails and their beer is good too :).

Over thanksgiving we went to stiffs and had a beer while waiting for a seat at Zak's. Service sucked, beer was foaming everywhere... I knew there was a bad vibe about that place.
