ok, now that I am on a computer that I can type on. Got stuck in this hole, I was still in 2wd. In a camp about a 100 yds back I saw that there was a ferd. So I hiked back to see if they could pull me out, but no one was there.
So I stood on the front drivers tire to turn in that hub, and asked my wife is she could turn in the pass hub.... Since she was already wet up to her waist. She jumped in and was up to her mid-torso. And I guess that it really dropped off right there because she had to go eyeball deep to reach the hub and turn it in. Tried to back out and got it moved about a foot, but the motor was sucking too much water to get any power to spin the tires. Right them a surburban came along. And I thought GREAT. If anyone was going to pull me out, this would be the one. EXCEPT for the stupid french guy that was driving it. I hooken up the straps for him and he let it idle till the straps were tight. Then he yelled "it's impossible!" He didn't even give it any gas. NONE.So I told him to try again, but this time with a little gas. But he just kept yelling "It's impossible, it's impossibe."
Stupid french people. No wonder Germany ran over them..... twice.
Anyway, by this time the motor had died because the distributer was full of water.
A new rubi and a CJ hooked togeather to winch me out. I pulled the plugs, cleaned out the distributer and air cleaner (not completly sealed), used half a can of wd 40 and we were on the way back home.
At home I drained the t case, crawl box and tranny and both diffs and got about a gallon of water. Motor oil looks good, but I'll change it anyway later this week just to be safe.
