Nice pics, looks like a good time! How long were you guys in Moab?

One thing to consider, following the path in this pic is considered off-trail. It has been marked in the past as 'no trail' by the BLM but apparently it's still getting used judging by the black marks. Something to keep in mind next time you go. ;)

It's just some barbed wire fence posts.

Actually, those posts were put in by Moab Friends For 4 Wheelin to prevent more erosion and keep people on trail.

I hate to see that they've already been pulled out... :( I'm not saying it was you guys, but It kills me to see people damage fences and things that have been put there to help keep our access to the trails.

Besides that, looks like a good time. Thanks for the photos. :)

:confused:We didn't know that part was closed off. Thanks for letting us know for next time. They must not have had it painted at that time.

You know, they did the same thing to the Escalator on Hell's Revenge, but then opened again... I wonder if this is a similar scenario. I know that it was marked as "off trail" last year.

Either way, you couldn't have known if it were closed. :D

Yep that's the one. The owner is Aaron an old friend of mine :). It's funny if you go south of there about two blocks there is a blue one just like it. That one is BLUECOOT's an RME member....

That red mini truck is cool.

Agreed ;) A last minute lincoln locker, and some new treads the night before we left and it was good to go :D

That was probably the best Moab trip I've ever had. We left very early in the morning and once we hit Sardine canyon (between Cache Valley and Brigham) I started having some serious issues with my Ford diesel tow rig. Not wanting to risk getting stranded I headed for home.... Then I unloaded the trailer, and swapped all my gear into my hideous 79 Toyota and headed out once again! This time with an unbalanced driveshaft, unbalanced tires, a leaking clutch master cylinder, no radio, a four cylinder engine, and what seemed like 5000lbs. of camping gear!:rofl::rofl:

Several level 4-5 trails (ran Poison Spyder, GBR, and Golden Spike the entire way without being able to use the clutch!) for 5 days in Moab then across the whole state of Utah twice! That's got to say something for a 29 year old pickup :p

I have seen the blue one a few times but not nearly as often... I really dig all the first gen pickups :D

Can sombody tell me how to get to the mine's? looks pretty cool.

It's kind of hard to explain, but they are where Kane Creek opens up into a valley. You cross the creek and there is a trail that leads to the top of the mountain. The trail is known as "Killer Kane". Though it's impossible to take a 4x4 up now whoever did it back in the day was CRAZY!!! :ugh:
