Any feed back/opinions/recomendations, positive or negative regarding the motels in Moab, such as LaQuinta, Super 8, Archway, Comfort Suites, etc.

Thanks in advance.

WOW, I think some prices went up. Super 8 is $159.00 per night this year? That's $720.00 in lodging this year for a 4 night stay!

Hmmm

the Apache Inn's trailer out back rocks.. usually low prices and you can fit lots of people in there

I always rent condo's when I go down. Much better deal for what you get.

I've stayed in the Redstone, Ramada, and Motel 6 and was pretty happy. The bowen, big horn, and apache are kind of ghetto.

I like the Condo's because they are off the main drag so they have better parking, have a full kitchen, and can accomodate 4-5 people (depending on the condo's) comfortably.

I haven't had one with a garage though. I like Cedar Breaks in the summer. I like to sit out on the grass and have a BBQ after a day of wheelin and it's pretty quiet back there (compared to being on the main drag).

Thanks for the responses so far.

We have always stayed in a B&B,

Cali Cochitta.....never again
The Mayors House.....OK
Adobe Abode.....the best

But this trip coming up we figure we would be starting early and missing the breakfasts so why not do the motel thing.

I think I will be sleeping in a Tent. I just can't see spending that kind of money. Can't rent a trailor either, need to pull the buggy/trailor down, unless you rent one down there.....?
Im getting too old to sleep out in the cold :D

The Apache has been good to us. Room for my gooseneck, clean rooms, and Apache lets me leave the dogs in the room when we're out.
Just booked our room for $63.00. Not bad for EJS. We paid $130.00 for motel6 last year and it wasn't any better, and we couldn't leave the dogs, which makes going out to dinner/drinks a PITA.
