South-West Utah Moab or St George Around New Years

A buddy and I are considering wheeling Moab or St George/Sand Hollow during New Years week. What kind of conditions can be expected? I'm thinking Moab would be hit-and-miss. Sand Hollow would be very tolerable. Anyone want to meet up with us? Depending on where we end-up and the conditions, we'll bring crawlers or milder rigs.

We're planning for Moab now. Leave after Xmas and return around New Years. Dates are flexible.
