What is the building directly east (behind) the market? It's a school right?

Does anyone have a contact for the school? I want to ask if we can use their parking lot for about 45 minutes to have a drivers meeting for around 40 vehicles on the morning of may 30, 31, and june 1.

I guess if they are in school it will be a no go....it just seems like in years past that lot has always been empty while we cram into the City Market parking lot.

What trails are you running? The Spanish Trails Arena or the old bar south of town on 191 make great meeting spots for 50+ rigs, but it is a bit out of town if your running northern trails.

Their parking lot doesn't look any better than City Market's...

*Edit.. I take that back.. If that bigger P-lot was available, you could easily fit 50 rigs

other than it always seems to be empty, has no traffic going in and out that we keep having to get out of the way of, and it has shade, I guess it is about the same.

So I'm not sure what the address would be...is it the HS or the middle school?

we keep it below 50 rigs so we don't have to mess with permits. It's a free event so paying to use a parking lot isn't an option.

Next year, if the rules change we may have to start charging so we can pay for the permet and other requisit costs (insurance, BLM fees etc) and open it up to as many that want to come. We typically fill in the 50 slots in a few weeks once we open up registration, although this year fuel costs have really cut down on it. I think we may only end up with 35-40 rigs all in all.

Or maybe as a back up.. This is the dirt lot behind Zak's Pizza, just a block up from City Market.. (red box area)

That is the middle school. You might want to consider meeting at the City Park which is located at the northern end of town There is plenty of room to park around the perimeter for 50 rigs or so.

we want to be close to the market. If we can't use the middle school we'll just stick with the market...it has worked pretty well for the last 9 years, but that school would be convenient if it's possible.

Yep, it's the middle school. I teach at the HS, which has a huge parking lot but is harder to find though. Call Melinda, it shouldn't be a problem.
