Mona Pole Trail

Anyone been on the fore mentioned trail or know it's exact location? I know it's around Payson but that's about it.

I've been on it several times. It's a way cool trail, its not difficult for a mildly built rig (a small lift and some mud terrain type tires). It is narrow and does have some really tight turns.

Its located about 15 minutes south of Payson. You have to get off of the Mona exit and then back track on the frontage road about 1 1/2 miles. I could show you on an atlas where to go, but I don't have GPS Coordinates.

I love that trail, the last time i ran it there was a big boulder tha had fallen right in the middle of the trail had to crawl over it. It take a while for all the snow to melt.

Perfect, thanks Greg and those others with the info. If it can't be driven during this time of the year, can it be snowshoed? If so, what's the slopes like, any chance of getting caught in a slide (33 -45 degrees roughly)?

last i heard someone had taken a bulldozer all the way up the trail and made it passable to darn near anything....
