Anyone interested in hitting Mona Pole Friday Morning? I've never ran it, I've heard it's not to difficult but pretty fun. I'm thinking around 9:00 am. Let me know who's interested.

Its a great run. Starts in mona, south of payson and comes out on top of nebo loop. Paved from there to nephi or payson, depending which way you go. I would recommend taking some of the side spurs on top, they go to some great mine sites.

This trail is located In Mona, just south of Santaquin/Payson. Like I said I've never ran it. There is not much info online about it but I've heard that it is not difficult. The first couple miles is pretty steep shell, then its pretty easy but beautiful. I will try to get more info from some co-workers. And some GPS coords.

If you want to go post up we can meet at the Chevron in South Santaquin, and go from there.

This is the most/best online info I've been able to find.

This is from a Teraflex run way back in 2008. All the right ups and info seem to be way old.

[h=3]Mona Pole[/h]"The Mona Pole Trail was the perfect family friendly trail for our Saturday trail ride. We all gathered together on a Saturday in July 2006 at the TeraFlex PLUS shop in Murray around 7:30 a.m. The drive to Mona was about an hour long on I-15 Southbound. We took the Mona Exit #233 and followed the signs for the Young Living Family Farm which led us to the Cement Plant there in Mona. From the cement plant we headed South up a dirt trail where we found the trail post for the Mona Pole Trail.
The terrain was slightly rocky and began a slow climb through the mountain, which is where the four wheel drive becomes necessary. You’ll want to watch the heat of your engine because the climb caused a few rigs to overheat. The scenery was lovely with plenty of trees and a canyon feeling. Once at the top of the trail, where the trail forks, we headed left, parked our vehicles, and hiked into an old Silver Mine. It was incredibly dark with cool air so taking a flashlight and maybe a sweater is highly recommended.

Following that we had lunch and then half of us headed back down the Mona way to get back to the trucks and trailers, while the other half went out the Payson way. The scenery was a high light of the whole trip and by taking the Payson way out we were able to ride along the top of the hill for a while before heading down past Payson Lakes and into Payson.

The Mona Pole Trail would be rated about a 2+ and can be driven in about 4 hours. We all had a lot of fun with the family and friends of TeraFlex PLUS and we highly recommend this trail.
The trail clean up crew followed close behind us to clean up the trail. We like to recommend to all jeepers the pack in pack out theory so that we can continue to have use of these trails. Do your part to help keep our trails open"
