I grabbed a can of Seafoam Deep Creep instead of the PB Blast I usually use. I should have known better, this stuff cost twice as much and works half as well. I am disappoint.

I've now put PB Blast up against WD40, Deep Creep, and a 50/50 mix of ATF and acetone, and PB Blaster is 3-0. I think I'll try Liquid Wrench next, and then maybe try and get my hands on some Kroil.

There's a study that some guy did (it's on the Internet somewhere), where he used a torque wrench to verify what worked best. I'll look for it and post it up.

Yup, that was me. Lol. I was going to post the link to it, but I noticed Kevin posted in that thread that he tried that 50/50 ATF/Acetone mix on lugnuts and PB blaster kicked it's trash up & down the driveway.

Interesting thread, and will be following. Personally I'm a believer in PB Blaster.

I've seen that test, that's what got me trying the 50/50 in the first place. When I bought the Grey Bastard, the lug nuts were rusted so bad I was torquing the wheel studs off. The PB Blast had the driver front loose in 2 days, treating 2x a day. I did the same with acetone/ATF on the passenger front, and in four days they never came free. I switched to PB Blast on that side too, and a day later they came free. Since then I've tried the 50/50 again a couple times and never really been happy with it, but the PB has almost always worked. I wonder if any particular ATF is better than another, I used cheapo generic stuff.

Have you added torching a bolt to your list?

Hah. No, I wish I had access to that sort of flame. :)

There's one that got printed in some magazine, was that you?

I've had good success with PB blaster but wd-40 has never been good for much other than lubricating parts or stopping squeaks. I havent tried anything else besides heating a bolt or just using an impact on it.

4 ft breaker bar usually works on the spot faster than any of the other methods I mentioned lol

Will brake cleaner and a lighter be a a suitable replacement to a torch?:D

Just realized you have a world dominating bunny in your sig lol
