More Power for a JK?

Now if they had a gaurantee power increase or your money back instead of this "Unichip products are custom programmed and are NON-RETURNABLE." I would go for it. 599.99 and not standing behind their claims is BS. Plus 599.99 is almost half the price of a Hemi at the Junkyards :D

I had a Uni-Chip, it died, fried and was returned for a refund. Now I'm running a HyperTech Max Energy, Air Raid CAI and a MBRP exhaust. I've logged up to 17.36mpg with this setup. My JK isn't so bad now but still could use a little more. You can get everything at TeraFlexPLUS.

We installed a lot of bolt on performance parts on a guy's 3.8 V6 in a JK with very little noticable gains in horsepower and torque (i.e. Banks headers and full exhaust, AFE intake, Hypertech). We actually had it dynoed before and after and the numbers were very disappointing. Save your money for a V8 swap.

That was my experience with the Hypertech and even Edge (however, the Edge did make driveability and fuel mileage better). When I went to put the program back to stock with the Hypertech (made it ping like a mother, even with premium fuel), it ruined the PCM - $280 at the dealer  Hypertech would only refund the programmer and said 'your on your own' with the PCM. I'll never use another Hypertech product again.

I've never had a issue with my Hypertech. You have to watch the exhaust systems on these. Most make a JK lose power, headers are waste of money and so are dual exhaust systems. The 3.8 likes to have some back pressure. TeraFlexPLUS also has the SuperChip and AEV programmers.

I smashed my tailpipe on rocks right off the bat and increased back pressure, but didn't notice any performance gains.

I really want to try the AEV programmer. I am running a useless JET chip and AFE intake...

The Hemi would be nice, but an easy $10k to get it in. I am putting away some pennies to gear down to 5:38's to wake mine up.
