This is our second night in my dad's basement. :-\ It's awesome that we can stay here for a while while our house is being built, but it's kinda odd... Luckily I found a nice free wireless connection. :D Anybody else livin' back at home after being out for a long time?

Don't know if this counts. Me mom is coming to live with me while she gets a house....
That would be weird too. At least you're under your own roof though.

Did the same thing when I was building my house. Yup kind of weird living w/ the parents, Just got rid of my inlaws that were living in my basement for the last 5 months. They finally got a new house! That wasn't as bad as what I feared it would of been.

I don't actually think it will be bad at all. It'll be cool to spend some time with my little bro. :) It is kinda odd though.

Yep, I'm back home as well...a little different though, we have my dad's house to ourselves since he's travelling 250+ days of the year so it's not much different than having our own place. We will be buying/building a new place of our own but since this is so convenient (for us and my dad) we aren't in any kind of rush. :D

It is a little strange when my little bro comes home for lunch and eats all our food :squints: I just like to give him crap about it

So far, my wife is the only one of her siblings who has moved out and not moved back in. I'd like to keep that going :D . Not that I don't like her mom or anything...........................:ugh:

I've never moved back in with my parents, but we moved into my inlaws basement for a few months for our house. While we were there my father-in-law passed from cancer. Now my mother-in-law lives in our basement and has been for over 2 years with no end in sight. It's not too bad though.

I think I had it worse. I had to live with the in-laws for 1 1/2 years while we built our house. The best thing was, was we were able to save a bundle of money not paying rent.

I have to laugh at this thread, because I finally got my 24 year old son to move out, or at least he's supposed to this weekend. Jeez guys, move on with your lives. There's a whole world out there beyond the parents crib.

 This was easier than trying to rent an apartment for two months.

lived with the inlaws for 10 months while my builder took his sweet ol' time building our house, finally moved in 2005.01.14 I will not do that again, if (and that is IF) I sell a house again it will not be until the new one is built and ready to move in.
