Muffler

I'm getting new exhaust on my Toyota this weekend, it has the 22re and I'm wondering if anyone knows what muffler would sound the best, I want it to sound deep of course, but @ high RPM's I don't want it to sound like a little honda. any suggestions?

I know you have a 6 cylinder but the way you take care of things, its probably running on 4 cylinders! thats enough from you, be gone!

I have a 3 chamber Flowmaster & have been pleased. It's beefy, will take a beating & sounds pretty good. I'd recommend 2.25" or 2.5" exhaust.

i'm running a header, stack cat and a 40 series flowmaster with 2.25 inlet and outlet. very very pleased with sound an the extra power.

flowmaster all the way. i got one on my yota. very pleased. i just have the exhaust and a neighbor down the steet gives me a hard time sometimes cause it wakes him up when i start in the morning. just think if i went all the way to the headers

That reminds me of when your stock muffler fell off!

I've got a Magnaflow on my YJ. It's not as loud as the Flowmaster, but has a "straight through" flow design. I believe it gives you a little bit more power, but if you are looking for sound go for the Flowmaster. You hear my BFG Muds over my exhaust on the freeway. Idle with the Magnaflow sounds cool.

My brother has a Magnaflow exhaust 2" all the way from exhaust manifold back (on his XJ) it is way loud. He cracked the manifold and it is so loud it is annoying. You can't even talk to each other inside of his cherokee.

I have dual (dual exhaust) 40 series Flomasters on my YJ and it sounds like a V8. Could be the 4.3 V though. I am Very PLEASED with the sound.
