My 2011 In Pictures.

Highs and lows. What a year it has been. As I ushered out a fast and fun 2010, 2011 was off to a great start. That was until early February when fire destroyed my newly constructed shop and left me scrambling to pick up the pieces of my business and move forward with what was shaping up to be a busy year. With the help of many compassionate friends (RME'ers rule!) and loving family the building was back together in short order and I was back to business as usual. From there, it was go time and I don't feel like I got much sleep in 2011. I wish I had take more (and better photos) this last year, sadly as I looked through my galleries I had few to choose from, thankfully I was able to borrow some from the friends and family I shared the memories with. With that said I give you My 2011 in pictures.

Thanks for such a great year. Despite having such a rocky start I can look back and honestly say it was a great one. A big thanks to all my family, friends and customers whom made 2011 the success it was despite a few hurdles along the way. Looking forward to seeing you all in 2012!

I few simple "thank you's" is not enough to express my gratitude for all the help RME members offered me during my shop fiasco. Seriously, members like rusted and Herzog were helping me with my website the night of the fire, Bryson and others were there within days to help me get all the junk out, Carl loaned me his trailer move vehicles, the list goes on and on. You guys rule, real lifesavers. Sami was all over organizing work parties that so many of you attended. Olly spent days climbing all over the metal frame painting every nook and cranny, nasty dirty work and he always had a smile about it. Seriously, thanks! You will be re-payed!

Great question. I've been working on my yearly calendar but plan on the usual Relic Run, Lucin, BBQ and I'm planning on a Feb RS trip, a summer AFC trip and maybe a fall SRS trip.

We didn't get out on as many runs together this year compared to years past, but I think 2012 will be better.

Glad it turned out to be a great year for ya Kurt! Thanks for the shout out as well, even though all I did was push a few buttons. It's huge that everybody came together and helped you get back on you feet like that. Probably because they know that you'd do the same for them.

And there were a few that I don't remember when they happened: hangingtree trail (passenger), take back utah, moab trip in the 100 series, and a few snake trips.

I've gotta dig up more pics from moab/goblin valley. Seeing all this really makes me want to keep my rig and plan a ton more trips.

Goals for 2012:get out monthly, explore the swell, cruise moab, more multi-day xc adventures, run the rubicon (if I still have my pickup).

My 2011 was pretty good, no complaints here. I was able to get out in the 4x4 often and spend a lot of time riding Motocycles with friends. Here's how it went for me -


January, solo Winter trip to the frozen Swell, Black Dragon canyon to Eagle Canyon;

February, quick daytrip down to Gateway, CO to explore some backroads;

April, Easter Jeep Safari Potato Salad Hill Ceanup;

May, 1000 mile ride over 3 days around Lake Powell, visiting Mexican Hat, Monument Valley, Bryce Canyon and so much more;

May, solo daytrip thru Lockhart Basin;

July, crazy dirtbike riding out at Rabbit Valley with friends;

October, NPLD Cleanup with RME members, U4WDA and a few other local clubs;

The same weekend of NPLD we also had a RME AF Canyon night ride which was a huge success! I took video and most of them turned out pretty poorly, then my hard drive died and now I have nothing. I wish I had something to share from that ride, as it was an incredible time!

Hahaaa... thanks Steve, I've been very fortunate to get out as often as I have and I know it. I try not to take it for granted.

I will say that going thru those photos really made me miss both the Lexus and the Suzuki V-Strom.... both amazing vehicles for traveling to the places I like to see.
