I've been on the www since '95 with countless email addresses, some of them I've had for over a decade.... and I got my first Nigerian money scam email today :cool:

cept it was "from" the Philippines :(

I got a few of them from one KSL ad I placed. The interesting thing was that I played it out. Knowing it was a scam. I answered emails and played the game for a long time. It was very interesting. The victims would have been me if I suckered into it. But the most interesting part was that the other victim was a business in California who had their identity stolen. The check I was provided with looked very legitimate, had the right names and numbers and routing numbers and bank name. When I called the bank they argued that it was valid. When I called the company whose name was on the check they noticed that the check number was way out of sequence and that they had never even printed that number. It took them a while to figure out it was fake too. In the end the check, my emails and my statement were all voluntarily turned over to the California police and the banking investigators.
