My new seats sit too high

So I just got my new corbeau's, and fabbed up some brackets outta flat stock to mount to my existing YJ seat risers, so now the drivers seat seems to sit too high. (This wouldn't be a problem if I just had a tilt steering wheel, but I don't) So does anyone know if someone out there makes lower than stock seat risers that I can fit in my YJ. I need about 1.5 inches lower to be comfortable.

Are YJ brackets like the CJ brackets? kind of a Z shape? If they are I bet you could shorten them a little very easily.

I had the same problem with my CJ. I even used Corbeau's cj/yj adapters and the seats were way way to high (steering wheel in the groin high). I returned the adapters and they said its a common complaint. I have seen others do that 1993yj did and hack a few inches out of the risers.

Yeah, that is about where they are on me. I had ILean order me some corbeau brackets, but we'll see. I may need to hack some outta the middle and beg or bribe someone to weld them back up for me.

The brackets are about as low as you can get but they are still too tall considering how much taller the seat and the mounting tabs are vs. the stockers

So I had Ilean order me the seat brackets from Corbeau that replace the stock risers, and they work great (who woulda thought huh?) they sit about 4 inches lower than the stock risers.:D

Thanks again Carl.

Good deal. I heard the risers work well. I did not want to go that way since I wanted to keep the tilt seats and my stockers are in great condition :)

Here's the pics: Plenty of room between the steering wheel now, an d one of the old and new risers. quite a height difference.

Maybe a little late now, but I also installed a quick disconnect for my steering wheel. I don't have an airbag though, and I had to wire a new button for my horn on the dash.
