So, here's a little story for everyone's entertainment. My 2 kids spent yesterday afternoon at their Grandma's house and I picked them up about 5:30. Now this is the normal Wednesday routine and we were on our way home when I asked them how their day had gone. In the past, we've had trouble with our 11 year old nephew picking on Alyssa (she's 5), and they actually hadn't played together since Christmas due to a huge malfunction on Christmas. As I'm driving on what I thought were just wet roads, Alyssa precedes to inform me that she was "just kidding" when she told us about the whole Christmas malfunction that resulted in a huge family melt-down and my mother-in-law not really talking to me for a month. I freaked out. At the same time, I'm driving up a fairly steep hill, not in 4 wheel drive, and hit black ice. My truck immediately goes sideways so now I'm sliding up hill sideways taking up the entire road heading straight for a honkin' ass pine tree. To make a long story short, I ended up not only in the ditch, but more so on top of the snowbank. Picture a big blue Dodge humping a snow drift....that was me. Anyhoo, I got to call my Valentine who had just gotten home from work and was enjoying some quiet time in his "office" and have him come rescue me. Now due to the fact of wearing high heeled boots and a mini skirt, I never even got out of Lexi to check my predictiment I just sat there and waited for my knight in shining pick up truck. Imagine my surprise when Chris gets there and informs me that my rear driver's tire is 18 inches off the ground so the snowbank is being humped precariously. Thankfully Ford truimphed over Dodge that day, everyone is safe, and now there's my story.
