We were glad to help! It was a fun project, we made a good deal of progress. I'm surprised at how quickly we burned thru that much material. Much props to the MFFW for stepping up and taking care of this! I wish I could make it out to finish up the repairs on the 10th, but I have plans. :(

Sorry about bailing without saying goodbye, we walked down to the Toyota to get some water, saw the time and decided to leave in order to get up to the mountains and setup camp before the sun set.

We wondered if it was something we said? Hopefully you guys didn't get too much snow up there. BRRRR!!!!

Excellent.
What's kind of funny is there is a bypass to this previous tire shredder, it had gotten so bad. Someone blazed a trail off to the right (when facing widowmaker) to get to it from the lower road without risking this spot. I am glad we got it fixed, as it looked really really unsafe! Now I guess we need to block off that unofficial bypass...

I see that Jeff already responded to your post but beyond the bypass being illegal, it's turning bad very quickly and will soon wash away in more than one spot as it's really just a sand hill. For safety's sake, we'll need to close it and push everyone back onto the main trail.
