I have got numerous text messages from people today saying that people are trying to get as many people nation wide to not buy gas today. Luckily I can go along with this since I just put in $90 yesterday. Not that it would do any good but what the hell. :-\

Holy crap, people are still trying this? Text them all back and tell them to get a brain, morans. Not buying gas for a day will do NOTHING AT ALL.

Exactly.
What the hell good will it do. If you don't put gas in 2day you will have to in the near future probably within the next few days.

I guess if it makes them feel better. I just think it is funny, do they think that if we don't buy gas today the oil companies will panic and throw in the towel and say okay okay gas is now $2 a gallon. Would be nice if it worked that way but it doesn't.

That's gotta be it...

Seriously, if you don't like the prices, then don't EVER buy it and start walking/riding a bike. Then you'll make a difference. I get these freakin' emails all the time from my mother and grandmother. Anymore I don't even reply, just hit delete. It's not worth the reply to tell them it won't work....

It would work if people actually stopped driving or bought alternative fuel and stuck with it. "Boycotting" for a day does nothing. Most of them probably filled up yesterday so they could "boycot" today.

My thighs are KILLING me this morning. I should save about $100-120 per month (even paying for the train) and might actually lose a little weight.

Frontrunner? How is that anyway?

Much better now that you have to pay. The free days totally sucked. Still pretty busy, though.

I ride my pedal bike to the station, ride the train, then ride the bike from the station to work. (might be 2-2.5 miles total? Maybe I'll gps it in my truck :D) Costs me about 40 minutes to walk it. 10 or so on the bike plus the waiting for/riding the train.

FrontRunner is going good, $145 for a monthly pass, or $10 a round trip Ogden to SLC. There is a family pass too, but unsure of the specifics. It may not save time, but it will save money using it to make the commute. Unless there is a wreck on I-15, then it will save you time and money.

I dont work for UTA But I am a contractor for them on the FrontRunner.

It snowed here yesterday and today it is sunny and upper 50's. I have the windows opened probably for the first time in nearly a year! 8 months anyway...

That's nice that you Salt Lake folks have the option of public transportation. The only way I can "stick it to the man" is to stay at home and just not drive my truck. And I'm pretty confident that it would cost more for my family to bail me out of the mental institution from being completely stir crazy than my weekly diesel budget of $60.

my little car eats up about $30 / week - sometimes less never more. I run about 250-300 miles/week or so. I'm so glad I got rid of that big V-8 truck!
