need a windshield

Did a search and didn't come up with what I need.

Just moved to the state and am getting ready for inspection. Apparently My cracked windshield of 6 years is no longer good enough.
I need a windshield for my tacoma, where should I go, who should I avoid. All the shops I called are in the same ball park for price ~$120. Should I get used glass and put it in? Any connections/ side work?

Personally, I'd just throw new glass in it. No point in putting in used glass that is probably pitted all over and possibly has a small crack on it somewhere already.

I've always used Safetlite...they wave my deductable :p

TechnoGlass has done me right many times in the passes.

Yep, I've always used Technaglass on 90th and the freeway (approx) and they have always waved my deductible, gotten me in right away, and had it finished in no time at all (I usually wait while its being done). I agree with Brett too, for as cheap (or free) as it is its not worth getting used glass and possibly not having it installed correctly.

The truck is just a wheeler so no full coverage nor did I care in colorado if the window was cracked all over would just get rebroken every winter.

How does that work anyhow my deductable is usually 500-1000 bucks do you have some kind of windshield policy?

thanks for the responses so far

On full coverage the glass deduc is usually $100, sometimes $250 sometimes $0, most glass shops will give you $100 off to cover your deduc.

This is a "discount" though because you can go in and pay (example) $250 cash for a windshield if you don't have insurance, or they charge your insurance $400, wave your $100 portion and make an extra $50

I don't know where you're located, but in Provo there's a Jones Paint & Glass store. When I rolled my '85 Toy & needed a new windshield they beat all other prices by $30-40. HTH

There's also one in A/F on 500w. just north of state. I work there. Our auto glass guy is perty good and knows his stuff. I've only worked there for about a month else i'd tell ya to tell em i sent ya. Provo is the warehouse so they'd have it there already, unless you ordered it to AF in advance.
