When I bought my Dana 44 a couple of years ago it came with what I was told a long side spare. When I was changing out my axle bearing I noticed it looked different than the others. Sure enough the lug nut pattern is different and it has a toner ring for abs and the mounting bolts are on the axle itself and not on the tubing like my 44 has. The length is around 29 1/4 inches long from the outside of the mounting plate where drum goes on to the end of the splines. The mounting is 5 on 4.75. Does anyone know what this is out of. It looks like a 44.It is a 30 spline but out of what vehicle? My research online has showed that GM had this pattern and some one else told me that it might be out of a Nissan. Is this out a s-10 or sonoma or Nissan truck? Here are some Photos of it.

Thanks for your help.

5 on 4.75 is a common pattern for chevy s-10/ s-10 blazer
if the 7.5 ring gear 10 bolts in those little trucks don't have c-clips, I'd lean towards that

(and also the dakota, but lack of spot for a c-clip and 30 splines means it isn't a chrysler 8.25.)

might want to try measuring the distance from flange bolt to flange bolt and length of the shaft and cross reference it in the dana/ spicer catalog

Not Nissan, Dakota, Durango, etc. The only company I am aware of that used that bolt pattern on a live rear axle was GM. Could be from a Camaro/Firebird or S10.

you sure it's not 5 on 4.5? That really looks like an XJ retainer plate. Looks like definately set10 bearings. 29.25 would be it's correct length for the XJ D44...
