I went to start up my rig earlier today, and it took a dump! It chugged out two or three cranks, then started up. I thought it was wierd so i shut it off and tried to start it up again. Then it just clicked repetedly everytime I tried to turn it over. I charged up the battery and tried some more. nothing. I tested for spark, and that's fine. I can can only guess that it is something along the fuel system. Bad pump? Wort poured in some gas directly in the top of the carb., and it did nothing. He said he saw alittle gas squirting out of the jet too. I noticed some type of diaphram under the carb. was dripping gas every now and again. Anyone know what's up? I need some input quick.

If you have spark and fuel (assuming you do) I would have to lean towards a timing belt slippage.... my Sami slipped a tooth one... took a while to figure out WTF.... Worth checkin'

timing belt is a good place to start, I would dig into it and give it a check. it is not that hard, just takes an hour or so of pulling crap to get to it...pull the cover and line up the marks....you should be able to do this in your driveway with basic handtools.

Yep, timing belt was loose and off about an inch and a half. I found the cause to ba that the tensioner bolt was loose and not tensioning. I put tension on the belt, then tightened the bolt. It no longer slips teeth. Question, does the bearing around the tensioner bolt need to be able to rotate, or spin?
