never ending swap

ok I got my wagon done (I still need tires) and time to tear in to the TJ ! I f you had the money which combo would you go with.

5.7 Vortec Nv4500 and Dana 300/Atlas 2
5.3 Vortec Nv 3500 and atlas2/NP231
4.3 Vortec Ax15 amd Np231

I would like to run 36's and 44 axles. What would be the easiest and the most reliable ?

Go with the NV4500. Can you find them with the 6.3(?) first gear still? Had one in my FJ40 along with a 350. Only weak link was the 'cruiser T-case.

How about 4.3/NV4500/Atlas 2?

Atlas 2 always seems to be the winning T-case. Hey Brett wont the ford power steering pump get in the way ? I heard this was the reason that they arn't swaped into jeeps that much. Also I do believe you can find the NV4500 with that ratio in first still. Call Boot Hill in Colorado I know they have one for sure.
