Dose anyone know how much the new Cooper STT Discovery is in a 35x12.5x15. I know on the website they don't list it but said they are coming out with this size?

Also they look alot like Toyo's

Re:

Funny I saw this today. I am working on a deal with Les Schwab tires in Centerville on about 20-24 Toyo's in different sizes for a bunch of my rigs, and talked to them today about the Cooper. They didnt have anything bigger then a 35, but could not get me prices. They are almost identical to the Toyo MT's but from what the rep told they are much less of a quality, and no where near as tough as the Toyo's or other off-road tires. He very well could have been filling me full of **** because he didnt want to lose the big sale he was getting from me. He also said that because the Cooper brand itself is smaller, they are exclusive to Pearson's tire.....not sure if that is true, or who even Pearson's is...just what the guy told me.
If you are looking a decent deal on the Toyo's, this guy is getting me a good price on just about any size because I am buying so many.
Let me know if you are interested....not affilated in anyway with Les Schwab or Toyo, just buying alot of tires.

As far as cooper being much less quality, I have cooper discoverers? on my rc and they have worn well and even, from what the seller tells me anyways. They don't seem any less quality than any other tire. They have been around since 1914, lower quality is doubtful. ;) I think that guy had his nose in your a55h0l3, sniffing around for more money. :hickey:

That I wouldnt doubt. They are all about the sale, as expected. From what I have found on the net, they run considerably cheaper then the Toyo's, I just havent found real prices yet, and if they run as big as 37's. I will keep looking....

I have run Coopers on several vehicles. Not hard core off-roading with them, but a great mud and snow tire for deer hunting. No quality issues I know of and certainly not a small brand then Toyo. Pearson's is off of main and about 2200 south if memory serves.

Pearson tire is in SLC, near main or w temple, and about 2300 S. My dads shop get all their tires from them. Their main brand is the Cooper

coopers not recommended for DD's.

I have a set of older cooper stt's on my yota dd/weekend warrior. Goood tire, haven't had any problems with them...BUT do they ever howl on the highway:mad2: . I couldn't hear the straightpiped exhaust that was busted under the cab over the tires. Something like every other lug is cupped by the two lugs beside it.
Maybe the new tires don't have the cupped lugs...

I don't think they have came out with the 35/12.5/15 yet i thik there all 16-18" rim sizes now? I've seached everywhere and still no prices. I'm looking for a set of 35" tire's for my samurai.

I agree completely, my Coopers are loud enough, at 40-45 I can hear them over my exhaust which is only the Y, cherry bomb, and about 3 feet of exhaust after that!

I have had them for almost a year and they have been great. They have a little chunking from some really sharp slick rock but perform great. I stuck a tree root in the side of it first trip out and it still hasn't started leaking. Pretty tough sidewall. They are a little loud but no bogger. It you have them on a light rig they will last forever. Mine still look new. They wear faster on the heavier rigs ( have seen them go fast on big trucks). I have been impressed with them and for the price and the looks I dont think they can be beat.

A couple of guys in our group run the STT and love them. I run the Goodyear MTR and it is a great rock\mud tire. When I replace them though I will go with the STT as the MTR's rubber compound is a little soft for my taste.
As far as the Cooper being exclusive to Pearson Tire, I don't know, but that isn't where our guys have been getting them. If you are in the Central Utah area check out Gunnison Impliment Co. in Gunnison. They have GEAT prices on the entire Cooper line.

I run a 285/75/16 on my sami. I really like em. They have about 4 thousand miles on them, and still look new. They are not nearly as loud as a all terrainish (tread looked kind of like a bf mud) that was on it before. I have had them in the snow, and mud, and some rocks. I have been really impressed with them. I would buy them again. There are lots of places to get them here. Commercial tire carries them. Keller tire in Preston, and logan gets them, and I bought them from just a small town shop here in pocatello. 180 per tire. Lots cheaper then the toyo's I was contemplating.
