Hi everyone. My name is Eric and I just picked up my first rig, a '97 LX450.

Here's the run down:

-230k miles
-just put in $630 for repairs to get it up to top condition. (New rotors, pads, valve gasket seals, power steering leak repair, replace dash backlight behind rpm and temp gauges, etc)
-interior clean w/minor tears in front and passenger leather
-exterior clean w/ some rust on tow package and running boards
-head gasket hasn't been done
-daily driver for the wife of the seller
-never taken off-road
-full service records since '97
-oil changed every 3k miles since '97
-no lockers :(

I thought I got a pretty good deal on this, but what do you think?

I'm also looking for a good tech/shop in Utah county since I'm living in a townhouse right now and don't have the space to work on it myself. Any suggestions?

I'd live to get out wheeling sometime too.

I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts. Thanks!

Welcome Erik! You got a hell of a deal... want to sell it for what you have into it? :greg: :p

Those 80 Series Land Cruisers are incredible capable, even without lockers. Get out on the trail with it and enjoy!
