New here, with an AWD Volkswagen...

drove a van where?
I've read threads on this forum before but I guess never registered. The recent ExPo post about the AF canyon recovery brought me back and I'd like to get into some more off roading, so I'm hopefully going to make it to the event in a couple weekends!

I drive this big gold brick:

You can read about it here:

And here is a short video of our spring time event in Moab. About 50 vanagons were there this year:

Real rock crawling is out of the question. I can do some rated trails, most recently 3D in Moab (but backwards so all downhill!). Hells Revenge wouldn't be too difficult with all the go arounds. But I have extremely little articulation and approach angle. BUT I do have a sink, stove, fridge and it sleeps 4. Oh and a rear locker ;)

Awesome Syncro!! I'd drive one of those, I'm sure that's a great rig for exploring the back country. Reading your build thread now, looks like you put a lot of effort into doing it right. Nice work!

My DD is a TDI Jetta... 260k miles and great mileage! I'm a fan of German engineering. So much that we recently picked up a TDI New Beetle for my wife not long ago.

Welcome to RME, Hans!
