Hey Everyone, thanks for the invite (sixstringsteve),

I just bought my second Tacoma ('03 4 banger, 2.7 3RZ-FE, 110k miles)
It's stock at the moment but I will see if I can change that.

First thing I did was replace all the fluids (front and rear diff, t-case, manual tranny) with Red Line synthetic.
It helped a little with my second gear grind.
Then I replaced the OEM CV axles since they both had ripped boots. I'm going to reboot them and keep them for spares.
I gave it an oil change last night with Mobile 1 and OEM Toyota filter. Running real smooth and getting 21 MPG.

Looking forward to the campout/service project this weekend with the group.
See you there!

Welcome Ty, glad you found your way to RME. We look forward to camping with you and working on the service project this weekend. It's a great group of people here, you'll fit right in. And as Spork said, even a stock tacoma will go places you would never imagine. (I know, I have Spork's old truck). Don't feel like you HAVE to spend lots of money on it.

But when it's time to lift it or get sliders or bumpers, let us know and we'll point you in the right direction.
