Mostly shot on my new GoPro Hero 3 black, but lots shot on the standard Hero HD.

I'm loving the wifi preview and on/off functions from my phone but the battery life is like 1/2 of my old Hero HD.

Hope you guys dig it.

I guess i meant a fix for why the battery life sucks. I have the backpack and I don't like it. I'd be happy to sell it.

I also bought some spare batteries off Amazon. 2 batteries with bigger life, plus a car and wall charger for $25. That's cheaper than a single GoPro battery, and it's supposed to hold more charge too.

I need to research more. I'm not sure if the issue is with the battery, or the firmware on the camera. My hero 2 would get 3.5 hours of footage before dying (w/o bacpac). I'm lucky to get 50 min now (also without the bacpac). I guess I'm secretly hoping for GoPro to release a firmware update that fixes battery life, but that's a long shot. Aside from my battery life, I absolutely love my hero 3 black.

Looks like the price went up $5.

It all comes down to how you use a GoPro. I felt that with the bacpac it was just as big or bigger than the hero 2. I'd rather swap out batteries every few hours than have a bigger GoPro.

The hero 2 bacpac was cool because you could remove the battery from it. I could use it as a charger and charge one battery while the other was recording. With the Hero 3 bacpac, the battery is integrated into the bacpac, so you can't just pop a battery out and throw it in to the camera.

I also don't like that GoPro doesn't make a standalone charger for the hero 3 battery. You can only charge it via your camera. So that's why I bought the wasabi one, so I could charge my backup battery while driving, then swap it out when the other one dies.

shoot me a pm about selling the backpac

the thing about using it in cold cold weather and snow is it cuts battery life on anything I use. Including my Nikon. And I hate having to swap a battery on the lift with gloves and worry about losing the battery door.

can you charge the battery bacpac separately? or does it have to be plugged into the gopro?
