New Tires for the Tundra

Looking at getting some new tires for my 08 Tundra. I won't ever really wheel the truck but It will see plenty of dirt. I usually don't get new tires for my rigs because I sell them so fast. I actually plan on keeping this truck for a while though. I'm thinking the toyo Open country all terrains fit the bill for what I want and the 55k mile warrant doesn't hurt.

My trucks not lifted yet and I don't plan on lifting it too much. Maybe a level lift or a 2.5 inch ome lift. But for now I'm stock. The 2 sizes I'm considering work out to about 34x11 or 33.2x12.5. My stock tires are about a 32x11.

What would you go with and why?

Personally, I'd go with a 32" or 33" max if you plan to tow any serious loads with it. As you know, I have 35s on mine and I tow a large camper trailer (about 10K when fully loaded). It has the power to do it, but I know it'd do it much better if I had a smaller tire.

As for which tire, I used to have the Toyo Open Country Mud Terrains on mine (again, in a 35") and I hated them (infact I still have them on a set of 20s in my shed, I'd make you a GREAT deal on them :D). I've never liked the Toyos. When I had this same debate not too long ago, I decided to go with the BFG A/T. Haven't regretted my decision yet. I'll never "wheel" my truck so I didn't care about how they did offroad and any tire will handle a dirt road just fine. If you plan to tow much, just make sure whatever you decide to go with is "E" rated.
