New tools are fun. Even if they're from Harbor Freight. I've been wanting one of these for a while. Thanks Brokejeep! :greg:

I'm working on a couple projects that will end up a lot nicer with this. I sure wish I had access to one when I was building the interior of my buggy.

I'm afraid your project is going to be to pretty for us, please leave. How thick will that brake do? What kind of material? Aluminum?

It'll do up to 12 gauge steel. I bent up a 24" bit of 14 gauge steel for fun and it worked great. Not sure on Aluminum. Moreish.

That's pretty good, almost 1/8"-ish! I'm gonna have to remember you have that in your posession.

Yup! It actually compares really favorably to other brakes that are way more expensive. It's also really simple so I don't think quality is going to be an issue. I'm betting it will do 1/8" aluminum. The nice thing is my ginourmous welding table is massive enough that I can just clamp it to the end of the table, and I don't have to bolt it to my floor. I'm wondering if I might be able to do that with my bender too.

If you bolt your bender to the table you might limit what you can bend....example, if you have a 90* bend in a piece of tube, then need another bend 90* rotated, the bent end might run into the table top. (it makes sense in my head, hopefully you can read my mind through the text)

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. The more I think about it the more I think I should just convert it to hydraulic.

New tools always make a day better.:)
That hydraulic setup for the bender looks great. It sure would make it easier to setup the bender. I've got to check out offroadfab site more often.
