We have been looking at this canyon for a few months trying to decide if its a doable trail, easily rated 5-6+, 11 serious obstacles, total length is about 3/4 of a mile. Here is a poor video from my camera my daughter shot of one of the obstacles. Its the first time its ever been ran, we did 8 of the 11 obstacles before we ran out of time....its full of big waterfalls, big cracks and lots of sand.

I'm uploading more video's check back...

Wow! Reminiscent of Upper Proving Grounds! Is it in Sand Hollow?

Yep...out near sand hollow, there are 2 waterfalls that make upper hellderado look weak, I tried 1 (and failed) and drove a easier line on the second one, they are comp buggy style. All in all a very fun trail, the nice thing is there are no real area for bypasses, its not a very wide canyon. So if you can't make that first straddle (3rd video down AKA gatekeeper) you can't even start the trail. You guys should come down and run it with me..not sure if anyone local would even be interested..

I'm in. That whole sand hollow area looked absolutely fantastic. Loaded with possibilities. Is it too hot from now through August? Do I need a whip flag?

Its pretty hot but not bad in the morning or evening, you will need a flag for the dunes, I left mine on in the canyon...but I am wondering now how I managed not to tear it off.

Talking to Tracy tonight, I am pretty sure this is the one we (you, me, Carl, Bart) hiked up way back when....

I was wondering. It looked evil then, and evil in videos now. Kinda makes me wish I still had something capable of going there. :(
