Hey y'all:
Somehow I've been bit. Both my wife and my son are driving 1st-gen Isuzu Amigos now. We unloaded the Disco, 'cuz they didn't like it. :-\
I'm driving a Benz ML430. so I guess we're all 4-wheelers around here these days! :ugh:

Anyway:
It's been almost 20 years since I've really been into the 4WD scene around here. At the time, I was heavy into the IH Scout II's. I've got pretty extensive experience that way. Plus several years of Jeep Grand Wagoneer-ing all over the back-country.
I'm a 'fair' mechanic, and I pride myself that I can fix or build anything at the racetrack with a sawzall and a die-grinder.

Looking forward to being part of the gang here.
My biggest goal right now is to help my son learn to mechanic just as much as he wants to, and then we'll see where it goes from there.

Is the picture with the IRTB's/ITB's and turbo one of your cars?

Yes and No. Yes, it's my car, No, there's no turbo.
Those are Dual 2bbl Weber 44's on a very custom intake. And the Header is a work of art, with tuned-length and diameter primaries, secondaries and collector.

This is the stock block for the Fiat Spider that the motor is still in. But I've built the 'P' out of it. :D If you're a gear-head, I'll share specs. I'm rather proud of it.

Although I haven't yet owned any of the European lightweight roadsters, I have owned 5 of the early body Miatas since 2002 in both turbo and N/A configurations. My neighbor 3 houses down used to run the service shop at Steve Harris and has an Austin Healey with a Lotus race engine in it, never drives it and have lately been tossing around the idea of buying it but we already have 4 cars.

welcome. Check the "upcoming wheeling trips" page to see a list of some of the great runs we've got in the next few weeks. I love those old 1st gen amigos. Here's my favorite: called "stinkbug" built by stinkyfab.
